AFC Bournemouth AFC Bournemouth

Boxxer and AFC Bournemouth are very much looking forward to welcoming you to Vitality Stadium for the World Title Fight between holder Lawrence Okolie and our own Chris Billam-Smith.

This page contains some important information that will make your visit to our stadium as enjoyable and safe as possible and we would ask that you read it in its entirety to ensure you are fully prepared for your experience with us.

If you bought tickets for others, please make them aware of this article so they fully understand the safety requirements.

There is a code of behaviour for all persons attending the event and by entering the stadium spectators agree to abide by all elements of this code which can be found here[1].

Failure to do so may result in you being refused entry or removed from the stadium so please make sure you and your party read it thoroughly.

In particular, please note the following contained in the code:

  • Check the prohibited items information
  • There is no smoking/vaping anywhere in the stadium
  • Note that football shirts / replica shirts are not permitted on entry nor inside the stadium
  • Once you have scanned your ticket to enter, you cannot leave the stadium and be re-admitted
  • Always follow the instructions of the stewards – they are there for your safety and welfare

Before leaving home, make sure you have your ticket and check your travel plans to make sure nothing has changed. Do not bring a bag with you unless absolutely necessary, and then not more than A4 in size.

The forecast for Saturday is warm and sunny but the evenings can be cooler so do make sure you dress accordingly. Those with pitch or East Stand seats will be most affected by the sun so please consider a small sunscreen, sunglasses and/or caps if seated there.

Vitality Stadium is entirely cashless, as is the South Car Park, so please bring a suitable method of payment other than cash. The South Car Park uses mobile payment system rather than card.

Gates will open for the event at 4.30pm on Saturday – please see the below map for the location of your entry point as shown on your ticket. Stand seats are accessed via turnstiles A-F while pitch spectators will enter via SG1 and SG2.

Last entry to the event will be at 9.30pm at which point turnstiles will be closed.

Undercard bouts are due to start at 5pm while the World Title fight between Okolie and Billam-Smith is due to begin around 9.30pm. This is subject to change however and you should make sure you arrive in good time.

You will be 100% searched, electronically wanded and have your tickets checked, before scanning your ticket to enter.

Check out how to use our electronic stand turnstile entry points here[2]. Pitch spectators will also be issued a wristband.

Please ensure you retain your ticket once inside as you may be asked to show it at any time.  There will be drug dogs in and around the stadium and drug amnesty bins will be externally located on site.

Experienced search teams and police officers will be deployed and anyone found to be in possession of drugs, or believed to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, will not be admitted or removed.

The Vitality Main West, North and East Stands have bars, food kiosks and toilets underneath the seating areas. Pitch users will find refreshments at the south end of the pitch, toilets underneath the South Stand and overflow toilet facilities outside the stand, together with food stalls selling hot dogs only. Remember, sales are cashless.

There is strictly no movement between stands or from stands to the pitch.

The ticket office opens for collections or queries from 3pm to 9.30pm but please note there are no in-person or telephone ticket sales on the day of the event. For any ticket enquiries, call 01202 726300, option 1. The Superstore will be open from 12pm to 8pm.

Please ensure you drink plenty of water, especially given the fine weather and to off-set any alcohol intake. Free water will be available around the stadium. Medical staff are deployed at various points and please speak to a steward if you have any medical concerns or issues so that they can arrange medic team assistance.

Please use the bins provided for rubbish, to assist our Green Team in keeping the venue tidy.
