Woman rushed to hospital following crash with lorry

Emergency services were called to Brockburn Street around 1.15pm following a report of the collision. A 59-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. Her condition is not known.

The road was closed in both directions at its junction with Leithland Avenue following the incident. Recovery has taken place and it has since reopened. An investigation into the incident is under way.

Glasgow Times: A Police Scotland[2] spokesperson said: "Around 1.15pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, we were called to a report of a crash involving a car and a lorry on Brockburn Road, Glasgow. "Emergency services attended and a 59-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"The road was blocked and recovery has taken place. "Inquires are ongoing."

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
