Woman dies after being hit by car on Cambridgeshire road

A woman has died after being hit by a car on the A11 in Cambridgeshire. The road was closed between the A14 and Six Mile Bottom on the night of Saturday, April 22, following the crash. A red Jaguar XF was travelling south along the A11, between the junctions for the A14 and M11, when it struck a woman at about 10.40pm on April 22. The crash was first reported at around 11.45pm[1].

Emergency services remained at the scene and a traffic[2] diversion was in place. The road remained shut until Sunday morning (April 23). The woman, who was in her 30s, died at the scene.

The driver of the car, a man in his 50s, remained at the scene and is assisting enquiries. A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “Anyone with information or dashcam footage of the collision, or of the moments leading up to, or immediately after should tell us about it through the force website using reference 648 of April 22. Anyone without internet access should call 101 quoting the same reference.”
