Weymouth: broken down car shuts Boot Hill in town centre
Police closed busy Boot Hill in Weymouth and traffic was diverted. Queues of traffic have been forming in all directions after the vehicle, a silver Jaguar, broke down at about 11.40am this morning. It caused slow traffic in all directions around the harbour crossroads and drivers are still being urged to find alternative routes.

“Cars were narrowly passing on the left while buses had to mount the pavement”.
Another bus was reported to have hit some street furniture as it tried to navigate around the car.
The traffic delays came after drivers were warned to expect huge delays on the roads this weekend[1] with more than 17 million cars hitting the road nationwide across Easter.
