Updates as trains at a standstill at Waterloo station after vehicle hits …

Trains are at a standstill at London Waterloo after a vehicle has crashed into a bridge between the station and Vauxhall. The bridge is being assessed following the crash and, as a result, trains are being held until they are sure it is safe to proceed. National Rail has said that delays are expected until 6pm as services could be cancelled or delayed following the crash.

They wrote: "We have been informed that a road vehicle has struck a bridge between London Waterloo and Vauxhall. Staff are en-route/on site to examine the bridge. In the meantime, trains will remain at a stand."

Several routes have been affected as the trains have been brought to a standstill including services running between London Waterloo and Aldershot, Alton.
