Updates as missing man found dead after police track down car on …
A man has been found dead in a car after a police search in West London. Emergency services rushed to the scene in the Stockley Bypass in Uxbridge earlier this afternoon (April 16). Stockley Road southbound remains closed while the police investigate.
The deceased man’s family has been informed of his tragic death. The exact nature of the incident is unclear at this stage. A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police[1]said: “Police were called at approximately 12.40pm on Sunday, April 16 following concerns for the welfare of a 23-year-old man whose location was not known.
The man was thought to have travelled in a car to the West London area. “At approximately 1.40pm, officers located the man and the car in Stockley Bypass, Uxbridge[2]. London Ambulance Service also attended.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. “His next of kin have been informed. The death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious at this time.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue.” Traffic monitoring website Inrix is reporting: “A408 Stockley Road Southbound closed due to police incident between B465 West Drayton Road (Stilwell roundabout) and Horton Road (Stockley Park roundabout). Traffic is coping well.
“Affecting traffic towards the M4 from Colham Green. Sensors shows this stretch of road has been shut since before 2pm.” Were you at the scene?
