Two seriously hurt in hospital after Good Friday double stabbing

Two men have been left seriously hurt after a Good Friday stabbing in the Black Countr[1]y. One victim is currently fighting for their life and remains in a critical condition. A second man is in a serious but stable condition, police have confirmed.

The men – aged 19 and 22 – were stabbed in Marsh Lane, Wolverhampton[2], just before 6.30pm yesterday (April 7). Witnesses reported seeing officers in the street, close to Ormiston NEW Academy late last night. An area was also sealed off by police, they said.

Officers have since arrested a 19-year-old man in connection with the alleged incident. A team is currently combing through CCTV footage, while witnesses are being urged to get in touch with information. A West Midlands Police[4] spokesman said: “We are appealing for information after one man was left in a critical condition and another with serious injuries following a stabbing in Wolverhampton.

Our officers were called to Marsh Lane shortly before 6.30pm yesterday (April 7). “Two men, aged 22 and 19, were rushed to hospital. One remains in a critical condition while the other is in a serious but stable condition.
