Two people fighting for their lives after horror head on crash
Police officers are appealing for information after two pensioners are fighting for their lives after a horror head on crash in Rotherham. The two elderly people were travelling in Laughton en le Morthen in Rotherham[1] at 6.40pm on Monday, April 17. They were driving a silver Kia Sportage along St John’s Road when a black Nissan Juke travelling in the opposite direction crashed into them.
An 86-year-old man and an 88-year-old woman were in the Kia and suffered “life-threatening” injuries. They remain in hospital. The driver of the Nissan was also seriously injured and remains in hospital.
A 33-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving over the prescribed limit of drugs or alcohol. South Yorkshire Police[3] said: “We are looking to speak to any witnesses or anyone who witnessed either vehicle prior to the collision. “We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone with dash cam, doorbell or CCTV footage of either the incident or either vehicle prior. “Can you help?
