Train lines are blocked as emergency services deal with an incident. According to National Rail, an incident took place at around 7.31am on Saturday affecting the route between Bishop Auckland and Saltburn[1]. The firm said train services will terminate/start at Darlington[2].

The service alteration details read: “The emergency services are dealing with an incident between Bishop Auckland and Darlington which means all lines are currently blocked. Whilst they attend to the scene, road transport will replace trains between these stations. “Train services will terminate / start at Darlington.

We expect this to continue until 10.15am.” Customers are being issued the following advice: Replacement road transport is in operation between Bishop Auckland and Darlington, calling at all stations.
