Tragedy as boy killed in A37 crash between car and lorry
A teenage boy has tragically died in a crash on the A37 involving a car and a lorry. Officers were called to the scene in Clutton at 1.30pm on Monday (April 24) to reports of a collision. Police have now confirmed that a 17-year-old boy died in the crash.
Investigating officers are asking anyone with information to come forward. The A37 was closed in both directions as emergency services attended the scene before reopening at around 10pm. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police[2] said: “Sadly a 17-year-old boy has died and our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.
They are being offered support by a specially trained family liaison officer. “We are appealing for any witnesses who may have been travelling in the area around the time of the incident to get in touch. “If you saw the incident, the events leading up to it, or have dashcam footage, please call 101.
