Teen seriously hurt, truck torn to pieces after crashing into rock …

CANDIA, N.H. — A teenager was seriously injured Wednesday in a violent crash on a New Hampshire highway that left their pickup truck in pieces, officials said.

Troopers responding to a report of a single-car crash on the eastbound side of Route 101 in Candia just after 6 p.m. found a Ram 2500 that had entered the center median and struck a large rock formation, according to New Hampshire State Police.

The driver, a 17-year-old from Auburn, New Hampshire, was removed from the wrecked truck and taken to Elliot Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

After striking the rock, the truck overturned multiple times before coming to rest in a travel lane.

State police said multiple motorists stopped and rushed to the driver’s aid before emergency crews arrived at the scene.

Photos shared by state police showed the truck completely flattened, the engine resting feet away from the wreckage, and other vehicle parts were strewn about in the grassy median.
