Teen, 16, killed in possible road rage shooting, Dallas police say
A 16-year-old was shot and killed Tuesday night in an incident possibly connected to road rage, according to Dallas police.
About 9:20 p.m., police responded to the 4600 block of East R. L. Thornton Freeway service road.
Dallas Fire-Rescue called police after being flagged down by a car. A 16-year-old inside the car was taken to a hospital with gunshot wounds, where he later died.
According to police, the 16-year-old and three other people were traveling on Santa Anna Avenue toward Shiloh Road in Far East Dallas when their car’s side mirror swiped another car’s side mirror. The driver of the other car turned around and opened fire, police said.
The victim, whose name was not immediately released, was shot once, according to police.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as being a beige or tan SUV or truck.
