An application has been made by The Store Oxford[1] Limited to Oxford City Council to vary the premises licence for Oxford’s newest hotel The Store at 31 Cornmarket Street and, 1-5 Broad Street, Oxford. The four-star 101-bedroom boutique hotel was due to be ready to open in the spring or summer of 2023. Contractors on site have estimated the new hotel will be open by the autumn.
Family-run department store Boswells shut for good in 2020. The variations to the licence are to change the internal and external layout of the premises. The Environment Agency is satisfied that a suitable alternative right of way will be provided over land specified in the order. Hinksey Causeway (Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme) Acquisition Extinguishment The Environment Agency has given notice that it has made an order on 30 March 2023, under section 32 of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, which will extinguish the public right of way running over land at at Hinksey Causeway, south of Ferry Hinksey Road.
The Environment Agency is satisfied that a suitable alternative right of way will be provided over land specified in the order. Abingdon Road Acquisition of Land (Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme) The Environment Agency has given notice that it has made an order on 30 March 2023, under section 32 of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981, which will extinguish the public right of way running over land at South Hinksey and at Old Abingdon[3] Road.
The Environment Agency is satisfied that a suitable alternative right of way will be provided over land specified in the order. A copy of all the orders and maps may be seen free of charge at Oxfordshire County[4] Library, Queen Street, Westgate, Oxford OX1 IDJ between 9am and 8pm Monday to Thursday and between 9am and 5.30pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Copies of the order and map may be bought there at the price of GBP1.
