Camborne police incident cancels, delays and diverts bus services …
Public transport is being significantly affected by a police incident in a busy town centre. Several roads in Camborne are closed and two bus operators have said their services are being hit by delays and diversions. Pendarves Road is closed in both directions at Camborne[1] and all roads leading to the double roundabout, including Basset Street, Cross Street and Trevu Road are are also closed while the investigation continues.
Due to the closure, traffic is being diverted, and bus operators cannot provide services into Camborne. Cornwall by Bus tweeted: “Police incident Camborne: Good morning, ALL our service into Camborne this morning will be affected due to a Police Road Closure at Camborne Library. Our services coming from Hayle towards Truro will divert from Treswithian to Tolvaddon on the A30 and come back to Camborne.
“And our services from Camborne to Hayle[3] will follow this diversion in reverse. We’re unable to serve stops between Treswithian and Camborne bus station during this closure. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
