A man has been arrested after a crash in Widdicombe Way, Brighton (Image: Google Maps) A man has been charged after a crash where a driver left the scene without stopping. The crash happened on Tuesday last week at around 7.40pm in Widdicombe Way, Brighton[1].

It involved a Ford Focus and Volkswagen Sirocco and the Sirocco left the scene without stopping.[2] Harry Ford, 19, of St Aubyns in Hove, has been charged with failing to stop after a road accident, dangerous driving, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and assault by beating in relation to a separate incident in February. Ford has been remanded in custody pending an appearance at a court to be confirmed on May 17.

Investigators are continuing to appeal for anyone who witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in the area around the time, or has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage, to contact police online or via 101, quoting serial 1299 of 11/04.
