M5 traffic live: Eight miles of queues and delays after emergency …
There are huge delays heading towards and away from Gloucestershire on the M5 in Worcestershire today. Eight miles of traffic queues were reported in both directions at 4pm on Thursday (April 6). The northbound delays are from junction 8 for the M50 to junction seven for Worcester and Evesham.
This follows emergency repairs and an accident earlier in the afternoon. Southbound, it is the ongoing roadworks between junction seven for Worcester and junction eight for the M50 that is causing the long delays. Motorists are facing up to 30 minutes of additional travel times in both directions.
The delays come as many people start the Easter getaway on the eve of the four day bank holiday weekend. Below, we’ll keep you up to date on the traffic in Gloucestershire and the wider region. There was also a separate collision in Gloucestershire on the M5, details here[1], which has since cleared.
