M5 traffic backed up for miles after car and lorry smash
Two lanes on the M5 northbound have been closed following a crash involving a car and a lorry. Traffic is backed up on the motorway between Cheltenham and Tewksbury after being held completely. The collision was initially reported sometime before 2.25pm today (April 6) and is causing delays for drivers this afternoon.
GloucestershireLive has contacted Gloucestershire Police for more information. Traffic monitoring system inrix reports: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to accident, car and a lorry involved on M5 Northbound from J10 A4019 (Cheltenham) to J9 A46 (Tewkesbury). All traffic was temporarily held for around 5 minutes at 14:30."
