Lorry on Nottinghamshire roadside causing delays in village

Drivers in Nottinghamshire faced delays after a lorry reportedly broke down in a Nottinghamshire village[1]. There have been reports of traffic delays near the Wheatcroft roundabout on the A607 Melton Road after the incident in Tollerton on Friday, April 14. Traffic monitoring sites reported the incident involved a broken down lorry while Google maps reported a crash.

Pictures from the scene show police in attendance and motorists have been warned about slow traffic going through Tollerton between Wheatcroft Island and Lenton[2] Avenue. Eyewitness George Icke tweeted: “Another lorry has struck the bridge at Tollerton in Nottingham – police[3] and recovery now on the scene but delays are still back to the Nottingham Knight roundabout.” Are you planning an event for King Charles III’s Coronation? “Congestion is apparent due to vehicles needing to give and take when passing. Please take care if you are travelling in the area.” Google Traffic is indicating there has been a crash on Melton Road, but that traffic has eased since it was first reported at around 11.29am.
