Long delays on south Essex roads after Sadlers Farm roundabout crash (Image: Google Street View / Maps) Major roads in south Essex were gridlocked this evening as traffic queued after a crash on Sadlers Farm roundabout. All lanes have been re-opened after the crash involving a lorry and a car near the Canvey Way junction, however there is still queueing traffic.

The AA reports[1] congestion to Five Bells Interchange. It is also affecting the A127 towards Halfway House Roundabout and roads through Basildon, according to AA, as traffic diverts. Essex Travel News also reports there is slow moving traffic on the A13 Eastbound between Stanford-le-Hope (A1014) and Sadlers Farm.

Drivers are also facing delays in a number of other busy roads including London Road and the A176.
