Police said a juvenile is dead after he was ejected from a car that crashed early Sunday on the far West Side. San Antonio police said the crash occurred when a vehicle traveling south on Culebra Commons Road crashed into a concrete structure at 3:40 a.m. The driver and passenger were in a 2011 BMW 3281 and were traveling at a high rate of speed when the accident occurred, according to a police report.

The BMW crashed into the "concrete footing of the safety rail," ejecting the passenger, who was in the back left seat. The impact sent him through the windshield about 15 feet. The boy landed in a culvert, a structure that channels water under a road or railroad.

The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported. The case is still under investigation.
