High-speed Cheshire Police car chase featured as Channel 5 cop …

The documentary series, which follows officers up and down the country as they police Britain’s most dangerous roads, saw a high-speed chase through a heavily flooded country lane in Cheshire in the opening episode of the new series. In a clip shared by Cheshire Police, a red Ford Fiesta is pursued by an unmarked BMW and two further marked police vehicles from the Roads and Crime Unit. #MotorwayCops: Catching Britain’s Speeders is back – with a bang – for series 4 tonight.

After accelerating out of the flooded section of road, the police vehicles close in, boxing the Fiesta into a space between the road and the hedgerow as the individuals inside attempt to flee the vehicle. The force has featured heavily in previous series, with Series 3 incidents including a terrifying collision between an 11-year-old pedestrian and a van and a flatbed truck which shed its load in the middle of the M53. Reminding viewers of the returning programme, Cheshire Police said: “Motorway Cops: Catching Britain’s Speeders is back – with a bang – for series 4 tonight.

Tune into Channel 5 at 9pm to see our Cheshire RCU officers policing the roads of Cheshire.”

The show will be available to watch on My5 until May 1 and new episodes are available each Monday.
