Crash involving lorry shuts A14 in Suffolk in both directions
The A14[1] in Suffolk has been shut in both directions following a crash involving a lorry. Emergency services are currently at the scene of the collision, which happened near Bury St Edmunds[2] in the early hours of Tuesday morning (April 18). The carriageway is fully closed between J42 and J43.
Diversions are in place and motorists are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys. National Highways said on its website: “The A14 in Suffolk is closed in both directions between J42 and J43 near (Bury St Edmunds) due to a collision involving a lorry. “Suffolk Police are in attendance.
National Highways resources are also on scene.”
There is also a planned closure from J43 to J49.
