Clitheroe road closed in both directions after man hit by car
A road in Clitheroe has been closed in both directions after a man was hit by a car. The incident took place on Henthorn Road at 12.41pm today (April 25). The road was closed between the junctions of Bawdlands and Faraday Avenue.
Lancashire Police have confirmed that a man was hit by a car. He is being treated for his injuries at the scene. Road closures remain in police.
In a initial statement, a spokesperson for Lancashire[1] Police said: “We’re currently at the scene of a road closure on Henthorn Road, between the junctions of Bawdlands and Faraday Avenue in Clitheroe[2]. “The road is closed due to road traffic collision. Please find an alternative route and thank you in advance for your patience.”
Providing details of the crash, the spokesperson added: “We were called at 12.41pm today to a report of a road traffic collision on Henthorn Road, Clitheroe. “A pedestrian was in collision with a car and is currently being treated for his injuries at the scene. Road closures are in place.”
