Box truck hits gas pump, 2 cars before getting stuck on wall, police say
A box truck got stuck dangling over a wall in Norfolk on Wednesday after hitting a gas pump and two cars, the Norfolk Police Department said.
The police department said the box truck struck a traffic island before entering Daley’s Service Center. It then hit a gas pump, two cars and an aerial lift, according to police.
Norfolk Police and Fire were called at about 1:45 p.m. to Daley Service Center, which is located at 2 Rockwood Road, for reports of a crash. When police got there they said the box truck was “dangling over a wall.”
The department shared photos, which shows a Falvey box truck’s front two tires hanging over the wall.
Next to the box truck, a pick-up truck’s tires are also hanging over the wall.
Debris from the fence can be seen below.
“The box truck crashed through a fence before coming to rest with two front tires dangling over a wall,” police said.
The driver of the box truck was taken to a hospital for injuries that police said are non-life-threatening.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Norfolk Police Department.
