All M5 motorway services ranked
M5 services have been ranked from best to worst by motorists with the Black Country[1] to Birmingham stretch faring the worst. Frankley services between J3 for Quinton[2] and J4 for Bromsgrove[3] on the southbound carriageway was given the thumbs down as one of the worst in the UK. Yet on the edge of Worcestershire at Strensham North, drivers raved about the stop-off near Worcester[4] on the northbound carriageway, rating it the best motorway service station on the M5[5].
The results don’t include hugely popular independent Gloucester Services or Tiverton Services either. The findings came after independent watchdog Transport Focus carried out a survey on the experience of visitors to 119 of Great Britain’s motorway services, according to Devon Live[6]. More than 31,000 visitors were quizzed on the country’s 119 motorway services
Visitors were asked their views on everything from toilets to the service by staff, value for money of food and drink and state of electric vehicle charging. Motorists were even asked the impact that the motorway services had on their mood. The 160 miles of the popular M5 motorway runs from J1 at West Bromwich[8] it takes holidaymakers, lorry drivers and commuters down to Exeter.
