A1307 traffic diversion route as crash near Godmanchester leaves …

A traffic diversion is in place following a crash on a Cambridgeshire A-road on Friday night (April 14). The westbound carriageway of the A1307 is shut near Godmanchester. Emergency services are at the scene of the incident, which was first reported at around 8.10pm.

A number of vehicles are understood to be involved – with one of them reported to have overturned. A National Highways[1] spokesperson said: “The A1307 in Cambridgeshire is closed westbound between J26 (Fenstanton) and J24 (Godmanchester) due to a collision involving multiple vehicles. Cambridgeshire Police[2] and East of England Ambulance Services are in attendance. National Highways service providers are en route to assist.

The following diversion route is now in place: Exit the A1307 at J26 onto the B1040. Travel on the B1040 to the roundabout with the A1198. Take the 3rd exit onto the A1198 towards Godmanchester.
