Fatal A505 crash involving lorry and motorcyclist sparks …

Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal crash on the A505 in South Cambridgeshire on Tuesday (March 28). A motorcyclist from Royston died after a crash involving an HGV travelling in the opposite direction. The incident happened at around 12:35pm on the westbound A505 at Fowlmere.

The 36-year-old man, who was riding a dark grey Kawasaki ZX1002 motorcycle, died at the scene[1]. No one else was injured in the incident. Another vehicle travelling westbound was also involved.

Det Insp Garry Webb, from the Road Policing Unit, said: “We would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorbike as it travelled west in the moments leading up to the incident. The motorcyclist was wearing black leathers and had a Union Jack flag band on his helmet. “Any information, no matter how small, could prove vital in determining what happened.”

Cambridgeshire Constabulary[3] said any witnesses with information or dashcam footage should report it online[4] using reference CC-28032023-0218.

Anyone without internet access should call 101.
