Two Semi Drivers Killed In US-12 Crash
Two semi truck drivers have been killed in a crash on US-12 in Berrien County on Monday. Michigan State Police say 35-year-old Christopher Deneen of Niles died at the scene, while 46-year-old Dustin Marshall of Indiana died at South Bend Memorial Hospital. The liquid propane truck driven by Deneen crossed the median while heading east on US-12 and hit Marshall's gasoline hauler head-on.
Troopers say some liquid propane leaked from that truck, but was contained quickly and did not catch fire.
Why Deneen crossed the median is not known.
Both were believed to be buckled up and the crash is still under investigation.
