And electrified powertrains have been part of our core business since 2018. The merger with Vitesco will enable us to further expand our software and electronics expertise in the powertrain. The insights that we gain in motorsport are always applied in research and development for series production.

And these findings are increasingly being channelled back again. We are proud to supply the FG Series with our e-mobility components, thereby reducing the financial entry barriers for talented drivers. In general, affordable e-mobility is key for a successful green transition.

Dilbagh Gill, Founder and CEO of FG Series, said: Having Schaeffler onboard is exciting because with our combined experience we know we will have a very strong technical package. They have achieved a lot in other motorsport series - most notably becoming Formula E World Championship winning technical providers.
