Crash involving lorry and cars blocks main road
Traffic is building on a main road following reports of a three-car collision involving an M&S lorry. The A28 Ashford Road at Chilmington Green, near Ashford, is said to be blocked both ways following the incident this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene which was reported shortly before 11.30am. Two cars - a green Vauxhall and a red car which smashed into a nearby building - and the Marks and Spencer HGV were involved in the crash.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service are attending the scene on the A28 near Great Chart.
"No serious injuries have been reported."
An ambulance service spokesperson added: "Crews arrived and assessed and treated two people at the scene, as well as taking one person to the William Harvey Hospital for further medical treatment."
