Nairn truck driver killed in A9 collision near North Kessock

Police have appealed for witnesses, external[1] to the incident which closed the A9 for about eight hours.

Mr Noble, who was also known as Jamie, was from the Nairn area.

His family said: "Jamie was a much-loved fiance to Morven and an amazing dad to Daniel.

"He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends."

Sgt Ewan Calder said motorists travelling southbound on the A9 may have seen the incident.

He said: "Our thoughts are with Jamie's family at this terrible time."

The Health and Safety Executive said it was liaising with Police Scotland, which is leading the investigation into the incident.
