A14 reopens after crash involving lorry and van

The A14 has reopened after a lorry overturned in a crash with a van. The road was shut eastbound[1] between junction 50 at Stowmarket and junction 51 at Needham Market/Beacon Hill following the collision at about 10.57am. A police spokesman said the van had broken down and was hit by the HGV.

The driver of the van was out of the vehicle at the time of the crash.

The ambulance service was called.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said two ambulances and an ambulance officer vehicle were sent to the scene.

No transportation to hospital was required.

At 4.39pm, a National Highways spokesperson said the road had reopened.
