Person hit by train between Doncaster and Leeds with services stopped

A person has been hit by a train between Doncaster[1] and Leeds.

Rail services across South Yorkshire[2] are being disrupted as emergency services continue to deal with the incident.

London North Eastern Railway wrote on X: “It is with great sadness that we report that a person has been hit by a train between #Doncaster and #Leeds” and warned that disruption is likely on the route.

Services are also at a standstill between Sheffield[3] and Wakefield Westgate.
