Pensioner dies in Oswestry crash with Citroen on tow-truck

The collision took place at 1.15pm on Tuesday, January 9, when a pedestrian was involved in a collision with a Citroen Berlingo in Gobowen Road.

It is believed that the car was being reversed from a recovery vehicle at the time.

A spokesperson from the force said: “Sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 80s, suffered serious injuries and later died in hospital. 

“Anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has dashcam footage, is urged to contact PC Rich Owen.”
