Firefighters free motorist from vehicle after two-car smash near Middlesbrough car wash
A casualty was rescued from a vehicle after a two-car smash on Saturday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Hutton Road, in Longlands[1], Middlesbrough[2], near to Best Hand Car Wash, after two vehicles collided and left a person trapped inside their car. Fire crews attended at 2.47pm and freed the motorist before making the area safe.
The Cleveland Fire Brigade[3] incident log confirms two crews from Middlesbrough were sent to the scene and left the motorist in the hands of North East Ambulance Service (NEAS). It reads: "Road traffic collision involving two vehicles, one person trapped.
"One casualty extricated from vehicle by Fire Brigade personnel and in hands of ambulance. Fire Brigade made the scene safe." Fire crews left the scene at 4.17pm.
