Seven suspects arrested after two kidnapped in Wolverhampton

Seven suspects have been arrested after two people were kidnapped in Wolverhampton.^[1] The two victims were found safe, police have said.

Officers also recovered weapons and cash after stopping two vehicles. However, it is not yet clear exactly when or where the incident happened.

But West Midlands Police Traffic^[2] posted an image of the scene on X, formerly known as Twitter, at 8am this morning, December 16. Officers appeared in the picture standing on the side of a wooded road.

In the post, the force wrote: "Working with other resources, we responded to a live kidnapping in Wolverhampton^[5]. Ended with us stopping two cars resulting in the safe recovery of the two victims and the arrests of seven offenders, plus the recovery of weapons and cash."
