Man who died in A15 lorry crash named by family as Tom Cooper
A man who died when a lorry collided with a car on the A15 has been named by relatives as 35-year-old Tom Cooper, police said on Wednesday 6.
Paramedics fought to save Mr Cooper's life, but sadly he died at the scene shortly after the crash on Tuesday 5. Three women suffered what were described as minor injuries.
In a statement, Humberside Police said: "A man who died in a collision on the A15[1] yesterday has been named by his family as 35-year-old Tom Cooper. We were called at around 9.10am when a heavy goods vehicle reportedly collided with a car, before overturning on the A15, near to the junction with Barnetby Top."
The statement added: "Emergency services attended, but despite the efforts of medical professionals, Tom sadly died at the scene a short time later. Tom’s family continue to be supported by specialist trained officers at this time as they come to terms with their tragic loss."
Emergency services were called to the crash[2] shortly after 9am on Tuesday. The road was closed for a number of hours to allow for the recovery of vehicles and investigation work.
