West Lothian thieves steal cash and jewellery from home on quiet …

West Lothian[1] police are appealing for information, after a property[2] was broken into in Livingston.

Residents[3] of a home on Birrell Gardens had a "quantity of cash, jewellery and other personal items" stolen. The incident happened between 3pm and 4pm on November 1.

This comes just weeks after a similar break-in and theft at another property in Livingston. Police have said enquiries are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers are appealing for information following a break-in at a property in Livingston.

"The incident happened on Birrell Gardens between 3pm and 4pm on Wednesday, 1 November, 2023. A quantity of cash, jewellery and other personal items were taken.

Detective Constable Ross Collett said: “Our enquiries are ongoing and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who has any information, to get in touch.

“We would also be keen to speak to anyone who has private CCTV from around the time.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2576 of Wednesday, November 1, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

On October 13, another incident happened in Caldercruix Crescent at around 9.30pm. Three people wearing dark clothing were seen arriving in a dark coloured Passat or Golf estate car and parking close to the house, with a quantity of cash was stolen.
