A teenage boy was rushed to hospital with serious head injuries after being hit by a car in south Essex.

Police are appealing for information after the serious crash between a car and a pedestrian in St Chads Road, Tilbury, shortly after 9.16pm on Wednesday November 8.

The pedestrian, a teenage boy, suffered serious head injuries and remains in hospital.

The driver of the car is assisting police with the enquiries, which are ongoing.
