Storm Ciar?n: Brighton hour-by-hour weather forecast

Gusts of up to 80mph have been forecast along the south coast, with an amber weather warning issued by the Met Office.

The weather service has warned of possible disruption to road, rail, ferry and air transport, as well as damage to homes, interruption to power supplies and flying debris that could pose a “danger to life”.

Here is an hour-by-hour weather forecast for Brighton[1] and Hove:

Heavy rain will continue through the morning, with showers turning thundery around 10am. Gusts will peak at around 43mph at 7am, before remaining around 30 to 35mph throughout the rest of the day. 

The rain will come to a brief end at around 2pm, before resuming with some light and later heavy downpours between 3pm and 5pm.

After another respite from the rain from 6pm, downpours will return in at around 11pm, with wind speeds picking up to around 50mph.

The early morning of Thursday will see heavy and thundery showers with gusts of up to 53mph, with the rain turning lighter in the early afternoon.

Wind speeds are forecast to pick up again at around 3pm, with rain turning heavier at around 6pm.
