Both victims were taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries. They have now been discharged.

Police have shared CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assaults. A force spokesperson said: "Anyone who recognises the man in the photos, or has any information, is urged to contact us via our web chat service quoting crime references 35/82448/23 and 35/82437/23. Alternatively, call us on 101 if you do not have internet access."
