Live updates as A38 lorry crash causes huge tailbacks into Derby

Commuters travelling into Derby are experiencing severe delays this morning after a road traffic incident[1]. It is reported that a crash involving a lorry on the A38 southbound is causing traffic chaos for those travelling to Derby.

National Highways is reporting that there are delays of 45 minutes, as well as four miles of congestion[2]. The incident was first reported at around 7am this morning.

One lane of the A38 southbound is closed between the A61 and Breadsall[3]. Traffic site Inrix is reporting queueing traffic.
