Live A2 updates as road blocked after lorry and car crash
A crash on the A2 is causing travel disruption near Gravesend[1] this morning (November 10). The incident was first reported shortly before 7am and took place on the London-bound carriageway just before the A227 Wrotham Road.
According to traffic monitoring service Inrix, the crash has involved a lorry and a car. The latest Inrix update states: "A2 London bound partially blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, a car and a lorry involved before A227 Wrotham Road (Gravesend / Tollgate Services)."
Yesterday, motorists faced considerable delays on the A2 following a lorry fire[2], which saw miles of congestion persist for multiple hours. The blaze happened on the London-bound carriageway between the A2260 for Ebbsfleet and the B255 for Bean, with delays persisting well into the evening.
