First picture of biker killed in Staffordshire crash as family release …

The family of a biker who died in a crash in Staffordshire have paid tribute to him, saying he will be in their hearts forever. Calum Lindsay was riding a motorbike at the Orbital Islands, Cannock, on October 29 when he was involved in a collision with a car.

The 31-year-old, from Tamworth, was treated by paramedics but, despite their best efforts, he was confirmed dead at the scene. His family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers as they come to terms with their tragic loss.

In a tribute, the family said: “He will be greatly missed and in our hearts forever. We would like to ask for privacy to grieve at this time.”

Officers continue to appeal for any witnesses of the incident. A Staffordshire Police[1] spokesman said: "The driver of the car stayed at the scene and has been helping us with our enquiries.

"Anyone who witnessed the collision or those with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage from the area are asked to get in touch with us."

A West Midlands Ambulance Service[2] spokesperson said: “On arrival, crews found the motorcyclist, a man, in a critical condition. Ambulance crews immediately began administering specialist trauma care.

"But sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased. The car driver was uninjured in the incident.”

Witnesses should call 101, quoting incident 366 of October 29, or message Live Chat on www.staffordshire.police.uk[3]. Alternatively, contact the collision investigators directly by emailing [email protected][4].
