Emergency services attend scene of lorry crash near Reiss
Police, ambulance and fire services were called out early on Sunday morning after a lorry went off road at the B876 between Reiss and Ackergill.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said : "We received a report of a crash involving a lorry on the B876 between Reiss and Ackergill which happened around 1.15am on Sunday, 26 November. The vehicle was recovered around 2.40am."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 1.24am on Sunday, 26 November to reports of a road traffic collision near Wick.
"Operations Control mobilised five appliances to the B876, where firefighters worked to make the area safe before leaving the scene.
"One casualty had left their vehicle prior to the arrival of crews and was left in the care of Scottish Ambulance Service personnel."
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 01:21 on Sunday 26 November to attend an incident on the B876 between Reiss and Ackergill. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene and one patient was transported to Caithness General Hospital.”
