A428 crash near Hardwick involving lorry and van sees driver freed …
Firefighters have freed a van driver from his vehicle following a crash on a Cambridgeshire A-road on Wednesday afternoon (November 1). The crash, which also involves a lorry, has taken place on the A428 near Hardwick.
Police were called and the fire service and ambulance also attended. The vehicles are being recovered.
A Cambridgeshire[1] Police spokesperson said: "We were called with reports of a collision between a lorry and a van on the A428, Hardwick, at about 1.05pm today. Officers and ambulance are currently at the scene.
"Fire has also been called to release the driver of the van who was stuck and received injuries to his leg. Vehicle recovery is currently taking place."
A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire County Council said: "A428 delays eastbound between Cambourne and Hardwick of around 2 miles due to a road traffic collision. Police are on scene and are awaiting recovery of vehicles. Please allow extra time for your journey."
