The hospitality sector in Manchester was shaken last month when it was announced that Hatch, the much-loved street food[1] destination located underneath the Mancunian Way, was set to close down[2] due to redevelopment plans. Now, Hatch has announced that the characteristic courtyard will remain open, with some traders staying on as the redevelopment takes place, in addition to updating us on the new addresses for the rest of the traders after their inevitable move.

The courtyard area will remain open until the end of the year, with six fantastic traders taking residency, alongside ÖL‘s brilliant microbrewery bar. Whilst the wider site has now closed, you can visit the courtyard from 12pm every day and enjoy some of your favourite Hatch dishes.

Until December at Hatch you can enjoy: global favourites with an Indo-Pakistani twist at Pukht[3]; Brazilian-Mexican fusion at Rio-Mex[4]; tea and cakes from ASAP Coffee[5]; Sicilian street food from The Sicilians, previously known as Tarricrii[6]; Eritrean and Ethiopian dishes from House of Habesha[7]; craft beers[8] and bottles served by ÖL[9] who will remain in their original unit as planned; and Suzy Loves Milo[10] will also be moving their pre-loved and vintage[11] collections directly into the external facing unit on Oxford Road.

You can access the courtyard from the gate in front of ÖL on Oxford Road, and Hatch appreciates all the support Mancs can give over the next few months.
