Merseyrail has issued an update on the rail lines this morning:
Chester line:
Due to flooding at Hooton, all services between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port have been suspended.
A limited Rail Replacement Service is now in operation between Chester & Rock Ferry.
Ellesmere Port line:
Due to flooding at Hooton, all services between Rock Ferry and Ellesmere Port have been suspended.
A limited Rail Replacement Service is now in operation between Ellesmere Port & Rock Ferry.
New Brighton line:
Services are currently running as scheduled.
West Kirby line:
Services are currently running as scheduled.
Southport line:
Services are currently running as scheduled.
Hunts Cross line:
Services are currently running as scheduled.
Ormskirk line:
0716 Liverpool Central to Ormskirk terminated at Maghull.
0804 Ormskirk to Liverpool Central had been cancelled.
Headbolt Lane via Kirkby line:
Services are currently running as scheduled.
