‘Party flat’ shut down by police with doors boarded up

A 'party flat' has been shut down by police after reports of excessive noise and drugs offences.

Officers[1] have boarded up the doors to the flat in The Knoll, Runcorn,[2] which no one is allowed to enter for the next three months. It comes after police found evidence of regular parties at the property, drugs offences and anti-social behaviour.

The closure order for the address was granted at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, September 27. The occupant was ordered to leave and anyone who enters the address for the next three months will be committing a criminal offence and could be arrested.

PC Jenny Tasker of Cheshire Police said: “I am thankful that this order has been granted and hope this will provide some reassurance to nearby residents.

“I would continue to urge anyone who has any concerns about drug-related activity or anti-social behaviour in their community to get in touch with us and we will do the rest.”

You can report information to Cheshire Police via the Cheshire Police website or by calling 101.
