A LORRY has got stuck in a field and a major road has been shut after a crash.

The smash involved three vehicles on the A92 in Fife[1] earlier today.

Emergency services rushed to the scene between the Kilmany and Wormit junctions after the alarm was raised around 1.30pm.

A large flatbed lorry careered off the busy route and into a field.

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the collision.

The section of the A92 has been closed in both directions between Rathillet and Kilmany as enquiries are carried out.

Drivers have been advised to use alternative routes to avoid disruption.

A Police Scotland[2] spokesperson said: "The A92 in Fife is closed in both directions between the Kilmany and Wormit junctions following a crash.

"The incident, involving three vehicles, was reported to police around 1.30pm. Drivers are urged to use alternative routes."
